SUMMARY OF THE POSITION The position of Shipping Associate will be responsible for picking, preparing, and shipping outgoing freight on time, in full, and error free, while working in a team environment.
They must also be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and carry up to 51lbs.
Computer skills are necessary and warehouse experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) PREFERRED SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Ability to use personal computer skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
ADDITIONAL NOTES Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a physical and drug test.
